Original consultation
Purpose
The purpose of this consultation is to seek your views on the proposed Active Travel (walking and cycling) scheme betweeen
Background
The Isle of Anglesey County Council (IACC) are consulting on an active travel route that aims to improve the walking and cycling environment for residents and visitors between Pont Marquis, Malltraeth, and Newborough, and improve active travel in the area and to connect both settlements together by extending the Lon Las Cefni network.
Extending the Lon Las Cefni and making improvements to the existing infrastructure aligns with the Glasffordd Mon vision to form a traffic free green corridor which aims to benefit the communities of Newborough and Malltraeth.
As part of the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013 it is a requirement for all Local Authorities in Wales to map and plan suitable routes for active travel.
