As part of the Welsh Government’s plans announced on 12 July 2022 to lower the speed limit on restricted roads from 30mph to 20mph, local highway authorities have been authorised to make exceptions in certain locations providing they meet the criteria set by Transport for Wales.

Exceptions proposed by Isle of Anglesey County Council

The council has published the proposed exceptions to the new 20mph speed limit.
