Welcome to the access guide for Isle of Anglesey County Council run leisure facilities.
Vehicle Parking and Outdoor Routes
There is a large car park catering for customers using the centre and is free of charge. The car park is situated immediately outside the main entrance and can accommodate up to 64 cars with 5 blue badge parking bays. An additional 35 bays are available behind the centre. The car park is well lit and has level access with dropped kerbs for wheelchair users.
Assistance dogs are welcome. We can also provide a secure sheltered assistance dog waiting area with water bowl if required.
Main entrance and reception
Level access to reception is available through automated front doors. Reception desk is lowered and is suitable for wheelchair access.
A hearing loop is available at reception.
Multi-level access - lifts
There is lift access to first floor spectators area, cafe and meeting room. The lift is large enough for an electric wheelchair.
Accessible sanitary and changing accommodation facilities
There are accessible changing facilities and toilets throughout the building.
There are wheelchair accessible family changing cubicles.
Changing area hoist - There is a dedicated accessible changing room with changing bed and hoist available.
There is an accessible toilet outside the café, within the swimming changing area and along the corridor adjacent to the sports hall.
All toilets have sanitary provisions that also include nappy bins and baby changing units.
There are wheelchair integrated lockers available in the changing rooms or along the corridor adjacent to the sports hall. The lockers are coin operated. If anyone has difficulties using them, please speak to reception staff.
There is bilingual English/Welsh signage around the building.
Access to pool is available via graduated sloping runway or hoist for wheelchairs or shallow steps with handrail.
There is a plastic wheelchair available for transfer into the pool. Please speak to reception staff for details / assistance.
The fitness gym has 62 pieces of equipment. These include a number of ‘IFI accredited pieces, including strength training and cardiovascular machines. In addition we have a full range of free weights in an area which has level access.
‘IFI Accredited’ equipment is fully inclusive, enabling both disabled and non-disabled people to benefit from a full body, cardiovascular and resistance-based workout.
For a person who is in need of a carer to access the facility, the carer will be granted free admission.
