First tenants have been welcomed into Llawr Y Dref

SofaIsle of Anglesey County Council are pleased to offer the chance for individuals and couples over the age of 60 to apply for housing at the newly refurbished Llawr y Dref in Llangefni.

Llawr y Dref has been fully refurbished following a significant investment. The old dated flats have been transformed to be comfortable, modern and stylish. Since launching over half of these apartments have now been let.

There are a handful of opportunities available for others to join this newly established community.

Llawr Y Dref is ideally placed, there are numerous amenities available right on your doorstep. The flats are very reasonably priced.

The rent is only £86.14 per week inclusive of service charges.

Head of Housing Services, Ned Michael added, “Anglesey County Council is one of 11 Welsh authorities which still retain their housing stock and we recognise the need for affordable housing for rent.”

“Llawr y Dref has recently undergone a full refurbishment, tenants will benefit from a variety of provisions which include, gas central heating, patio doors opening onto maintenance free communal gardens, juliet balconies for first floor flats, and a lift to the 1st floor.”

“This refurbishment has also allowed us to ensure that the building is now fully wheelchair accessible and offers scooter access and storage. Communal facilities are now also included in the package which includes gardens, an onsite launderette and a lounge area for socialising.”
