Penhesgyn Household Waste Recycling Centre

Anglesey residents do not need to pre-book a slot to use the Penhesgyn Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Pre-booking will still be required at the Gwalchmai Household Waste Recycling Centre.

Strict conditions

No householder should attend Penhesgyn Household Waste Recycling Centre if they, or any member of their household/extended household, have tested positive for COVID-19, have any symptoms, are awaiting a test result, or if they are required to self-isolate following advice from Test, Trace, Protect (TTP), foreign travel, or whilst awaiting medical treatment.

Proof of residency

All householders visiting the Penhesgyn Household Waste Recycling Centre must bring with them proof of residency on the Isle of Anglesey, for example, a Council Tax bill (current financial year), driving licence or utility bill (no older than 3 months).

With your car stationary, please hold your proof of residency up to your windscreen/closed window to allow a Council staff member to inspect it through the glass to ensure compliance.

If a householder does not provide the required proof of residency they will not be allowed access to the site.

Track, Trace, Protect

All householders will be required to comply with the Track, Trace, Protect (TTP) requirements. Penhesgyn Household Waste Recycling Centre will have QR code signs present to allow householders to confirm their attendance using a scanning process.

The Council anticipates high numbers of vehicles at peak times with undefined waiting times, therefore queues are expected – please be patient and wait for the instruction to enter the site.

Pre-booking will still be required at the Gwalchmai Household Waste Recycling Centre.
