Cyngor Sir Ynys Môn - Isle of Anglesey County Council

Being a councillor

Being a councillor on Anglesey allows you to help and improve your local community. Use your passion and drive to effect real change!

What is a councillor?

Councillors are people who are elected to represent their community following an election. There are county councillors and town and community councillors.

Once elected as a councillor, you can then represent the people in your community and make decisions on their behalf. It can be a very challenging role, but it is also very rewarding if you care deeply about your community.

Listen and watch councillors sharing their experiences.
