These grants provide financial assistance to businesses that are facing operational and financial challenges caused by the national lockdown announced for Wales as a result of COVID-19.
The purpose of the grants is to support businesses with cash flow support to help them survive the economic consequences of the restrictions put in place.
There are two grants:
- Lockdown Discretionary Grant - now closed
- Lockdown Non Domestic Rate Grant - now closed
Answers to frequently asked questions
The NDR grant application form covers both the £1k and £2k grants and a separate application is not required.
Your eligibility for one or both will be considered against the Welsh Government and County Council criteria on the matter. If you are eligible for both elements of NDR Grant 2 you may receive £3k.
If you are eligible for NDR Grant 2 but do not qualify for the £2k topup grant, you may receive £1k.
We are obliged to consider applications in date order as submitted. If essential information is wrong or missing your application may be deemed ineligible.
If you wish to add or correct information you can reapply using the portal and state ‘Reapplication - please delete previous' in your form.
If you submit new/additional information we have not requested by this means or another, your application date may be updated, and this may impact the outcome of your application.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to apply correctly and fully. We are unable to accept unsolicited additions or corrections by email, phone, or other means.
If you are applying for the NDR grant and are already fully and correctly registered for NDR with the Council Revenues you do not need to resubmit these details and any grant will be paid to the bank account registered to this NDR account number
Bank details are required for the Discretionary Grant or if details have changed.
Please complete the Council’s online enquiry form stating either ‘NDR Grant’ or ‘Discretionary Grant’ in the title (NDR Grant queries will be referred to the Revenues Team and Discretionary Grant queries will go to Economic Development).
