Council Services:

Single Fraud Investigation Service

With the introduction of Welfare Reform upon us, one of the first steps is the introduction of the Single Fraud Investigation Service which will be part of the Department for Work and Pensions.

From the 22nd of September 2014 the Isle of Anglesey County Council will no longer be able take any new referrals relating to Benefit Fraud.

With effect from the 1st of November 2014 the Council will no longer have a benefit fraud investigation team.

We strongly urge you to continue to provide the Single Fraud Investigation Service with information on benefit fraud and this can now be done using the following methods :-

By telephone:

Contact the National Benefit Fraud Hotline on 0800 854 440. Your call is free and confidential you do not have to give your name or address. Lines are open Monday to Friday 8.00am to 6.00pm.

If you have speech or hearing problems you can use a text phone service on 0800 328 0512 or Welsh speakers can call on 0800 678 3722.
