Padarn Bus services on Anglesey
Padarn Bus has announced that they will no longer be able to operate bus services in Anglesey and Gwynedd after midnight today (Friday 30th May).
The Isle of Anglesey County Council has arranged for the services currently operated on Anglesey by Padarn Bus to be provided on a like for like basis by alternative providers.
From tomorrow (Saturday 31st May), Arriva Buses Wales will operate the current Monday to Saturday timetable on the Bangor – Beaumaris – Llangoed/Penmon/ Llanddona corridor (services 53/56/57/58).
Gwynfor Coaches and O R Jones Llanfaethlu will operate the 42 Service (Llangefni – Newborough – Bangor) on Mondays to Saturdays; with Gwynfor Coaches operating the Sunday service. Express Motors will continue to operate the Sunday service on routes 57/58.
There will be no change to the times of the services therefore there should be no disruption or inconvenience to passengers. The three companies (Arriva Buses Wales; O R Jones Llanfaethlu and Gwynfor Coaches) will accept any season tickets issued by Padarn Bus until their expiry date.
It is anticipated that these emergency replacement services will operate throughout the duration of the current Isle of Anglesey County Council public transport book which is in force until 30th August.
In the meantime the Authority will be exploring options for putting in place a long term replacement service on these bus routes.
