About Genesis Wales 2

The aim of the Genesis Wales 2 project is to increase labour market participation specifically concentrating on those who are furthest away from the labour market and move them closer towards economic activity.

The Genesis Wales 2 - Anglesey project will work intensively alongside people providing them guidance and support to help them build a brighter future. The project will tackle the social side initially and the economic activity element will follow in due course. The project will therefore provide a complete package of flexible and holistic support which will be client centred to address the barriers faced by individuals who are economically inactive. This will be provided through mentoring and confidence building both on a one-to-one basis and group basis.

Target Groups

The project will work with individuals 16 years of age and over, living on Anglesey, who fall into one of the categories below :-

• lone parents
• economically inactive individuals (excluding JSA recipients)
• recipients of Incapacity Benefit / ESA Benefit
• recipients of Income Support

Activities / Support 

• mentoring
• confidence building – one-to-one basis and group basis
• activities will be client centred & address their individual needs

Referral Process

Referrals should be made by fully completing the Genesis 2 specific referral form and returning it to the Genesis Team. All relevant information should be disclosed on the referral form. Individuals who are told to contact the Genesis Team directly by a referral organisation will be asked to go back and request a referral to be made.

No referrals will be accepted over the telephone.
