The Planning Service: Planning Control

In this section you'll find information on the planning process, including advice and application forms. You can also view our weekly list of planning applications and find out more about planning appeals and enforcement.

Welcome to Planning Control. The main aim of the service is to manage and control the development and use of land in the public interest. Our aim is to reconcile people's needs with the needs of development and conservation. In doing this we strive for quality in the design of new buildings and spaces and in the way in which we deliver our service. Within the service we have two dedicated area teams comprising of qualified staff that are committed to providing you with the best possible quality of service and professional advice.

Search for minutes relating to their meetings to find out what topics were discussed by browsing through the Committee Minutes Library.

We are investigating publishing agendas and reports and are piloting this service with the Planning and Orders Committee.

The attached pdf at the bottom of the page shows the breakdown of the community boundaries along with the appropriate team and contact details.
