The Archives Service is located in the Record Office, Shire Hall, Llangefni.
By car from the A55
When travelling to Anglesey on the A55 remain on the dual carriageway until you reach the turn off for Llangefni and the A5114. Follow the A5114 to Llangefni town centre. The road narrows as you approach the old railway bridge. Shire Hall is on your right hand side after the bridge.
On foot from the town centre
The best way to find the building is to find the Bull Hotel and clock in the centre of the town and turn onto Glanhwfa Rd. which is the A5114 from the A55. Shirehall is the large building between Moriah Chapel and the railway bridge.
The Record Office is on the first floor of the main building. Enter the new entrance door on the right, come up the staircase, turn left and the public research room is the first room on the left. The office is on the first floor with only a stairlift but with advance warning special arrangements can be made for use of the records by wheelchair users.
Where can I park?
Limited spaces may be available around Shirehall (Glanhwfa Road). This parking is restricted to people using the Shirehall complex, which includes the Record Office. There is ample public parking nearby, around the library.
