Isle of Anglesey County Council’s two Scrutiny Committees hold to account, in a positive and constructive manner, the work of the Council’s Executive and Partner organisations in order to help the Council deliver its vision. The Scrutiny Committees job is also to support services in maintaining high service delivery standards, and to steer them towards improved efficiency and effectiveness.

There are a number of ways in which you, as a member of the public, can get involved with scrutiny.
Each scrutiny committee has the ability to establish a Scrutiny Outcome Panel.
Scrutiny committees must report annually to full Council on their work.

In depth scrutiny is undertaken by a Scrutiny Outcome Panel, but on occasions a Scrutiny Committees will scrutinise an important report/item at one of its meetings. Minutes in respect of such meetings are shown below:
