Probity - ensuring that we behave properly

The county council and other professional bodies set a number of rules for councillors (members) and members of staff (officers) to follow.

  • Codes of conduct for council staff

    The Officers’ Code of Conduct for Qualifying Employees of Relevant Authorities in Wales, which is found in section 5.2 of the Constitution.

  • Ensuring we behave properly

    Planning decisions can sometimes involve controversial matters so the county council, and professional bodies, set a number of rules for officers and councillors to follow.
