What certificates will I be issued with?

What Certificates will I be issued with?

After the birth has been registered the Registrar will issue one short birth certificate free of charge. This certificate shows the baby’s forenames and surname, sex, date of birth and district of birth only.

You are also issued free of charge with a form giving the baby’s National Health Service number which should be delivered to the doctor where you wish them to be registered.

A certificate is also available from the Registrar which shows all the information from the Register entry. There is a charge for this certificate and the Registrar will advise you on the current fee
