Sites and premises project
To fully capitalise upon the current and expected investment from the energy sector, and to ensure the realisation of the economic potential of the Enterprise Zone and Energy Island Programmes, the Isle of Anglesey County Council strongly believes that significant investment is required to further enhance its sites and premises offering.
The primary activity of the Sites & Premises Project is to enable a package of industrial estate improvements in the Llangefni area which will include:
- Estate reviews and improvement plans;
- Development briefs for key sites;
- Estate signage and environmental Improvements;
- Marketing and promotional activities to attract investment and jobs;
- Construction of exemplar business units for the private sector to rent.
The total cost of the Project is £2,750,000, which consists of funding secured from the West Wales and the Valleys EU Convergence Programme; the Welsh Government, including its Môn a Menai Regeneration Programme and the County Council.

All of the Sites & Premises Project’s capital and revenue activities will be developed in accordance with the Convergence Programme’s Cross Cutting Themes; whilst the Project Team gives full regard to WEFO’s Equal Opportunity and Environmental Sustainability recommendations.
This report has been prepared for the Isle of Anglesey County Council (IoACC) to set out the results of masterplanning studies carried out on five key employment sites which form part of the Anglesey Enterprise Zone (AEZ).
The council can offer a number of sites and premises for grazing, business or development in a variety of locations.
The Energy Island Programme (EIP), part of the Enterprise Island Framework, is a key driver for delivering exciting opportunities for Wales’ renewable energy sector. Enterprise Zone status emphasises the Welsh Government’s commitment to realising the EIP vision.
