Sites and premises project

Project Activities

To fully capitalise upon the current and expected investment from the energy sector, and to ensure the realisation of  the economic potential of the Enterprise Zone and Energy Island Programmes, the Isle of Anglesey County Council strongly believes that significant investment is required to further enhance its sites and premises offering. 

The primary activity of the Sites & Premises Project is to enable a package of industrial estate improvements in the Llangefni area which will include:

  • Estate reviews and improvement plans;
  • Development briefs for key sites;
  • Estate signage and environmental Improvements;
  • Marketing and promotional activities to attract investment and jobs;
  • Construction of exemplar business units for the private sector to rent.

Funding Contributors

The total cost of the Project is £2,750,000, which consists of funding secured from the West Wales and the Valleys EU Convergence Programme; the Welsh Government, including its Môn a Menai Regeneration Programme and the County Council.

All of the Sites & Premises Project’s capital and revenue activities will be developed in accordance with the Convergence Programme’s Cross Cutting Themes; whilst the Project Team gives full regard to WEFO’s Equal Opportunity and Environmental Sustainability recommendations.
