Here’s a list of all areas developed by the project with images of the areas are available on the PDF document below.

Amlwch Harbour

The scheme included extensive structural repairs to the historic harbour walls at Porth Amlwch; as well as improvements to the existing slipway. The local community were consulted in November 2009 and the works were completed in March 2010.

Amlwch Harbour - Coastal Amenity Area

The scheme included the construction of a new seating area, together with the provision of improved access infrastructure in and around the Harbour.  The improvements were completed in June 2010.

Beaumaris Pier Official Reopening

The redevelopment of Beaumaris Pier has been completed and officially reopened to the public and commercial operators on June 29,2012 by Deputy Minister Alun Davies (AM).

Visitors will discover the redeveloped Pier widened to its original width,new hardwood decking, a refurbished shelter and stone kiosk as well as the installation of a landing pontoon and connecting link span bridge enabling greater vessel accessibility to the Pier from the Menai Strait.

The redevelopment of the Pier has significantly improved structural integrity,functionality and accessibility. This work will help capitalise on the Pier’s economic contribution to the local and regional economy, both now and into the future.

Bull Bay

The scheme included extensive enhancements to the slipway; strengthening the existing sea wall and environmental improvements to the seating area.  Consultation with the local community was undertaken in February 2010 and the works were completed in June 2010.

Llanddona

The scheme included improved access to the beach and environmental improvements to the car park.  The scheme was completed in March 2011. Community consultation was undertaken in November 2010.

Menai Bridge - Coastal Amenity Area

The scheme comprised structural and environmental improvements to a popular seating area (located adjacent to Porth y Wrach).  The works were completed in June 2010. Picture: Porth y Wrach Coastal Amenity Area.

Menai Strait Yacht Station

The Menai Strait Yacht Station scheme is to provide a safe mooring site in the Menai Strait for visiting yachts. The location of the yacht station is in an area between the Menai Suspension Bridge and Beaumaris Pier.

Moel y Don

The scheme comprised significant structural improvements to the historic stone jetty.  The local community were consulted on the scheme in February 2010 and the works were completed in April 2010.

Moel y Don - Coastal Amenity Area

The scheme comprised environmental and accessibility improvements to create a new seating area at Moel y Don (to complement the recently refurbished jetty).  The works were completed during March 2011. Community consultation was undertaken in November 2010.

Porth Dafarch

The scheme comprised of improved accessibility and parking; enhanced facilities and refurbishment of public conveniences.  Consultation with the local community was undertaken in November 2010 and the works were completed in March 2011.

Porth y Wrach

The scheme included enhancements to the slipway and the construction of a new trailer park.  Consultation with the local community was undertaken in October 2009, and the works were completed in December 2009.

Rhoscolyn

The scheme included environmental enhancements to the car park and refurbishment of the public conveniences.  The scheme was completed during March 2011. Community consultation was undertaken in November 2010.

Traeth Bychan

The scheme included improving public access to the beach; enhancing the condition of the car park and refurbishing the public conveniences. 

The local community were consulted in November 2010 and the works were completed in April 2011.

Trearddur Bay - Watersports Pilot

The scheme included the development of a new community orientated watersports facility to promote participation in water sports, including the provision of changing rooms, showers and improved car and trailer parking.  The works were completed in March 2011 and the Trearddur Bay Watersports Cabin will open during the summer 2011. Community consultation was undertaken in November 2010.
