Within the Energy Island Programme, opportunities offered by low carbon energy development are of critical importance to the wider economic development and diversification of Anglesey and North Wales and the regeneration of its local communities.

The Energy Island Programme will ensure there is effective co-ordination of local opportunities to change the island’s long term fortunes and socio-economic plight.

The focus will be on progressing opportunities that will contribute positively to both the economic prosperity and sustainability agendas.
