About Energy Island
The Anglesey Energy Island™ Programme is a collective effort between several stakeholders within the public and private sector working in partnership.
The Energy Island Programme has four strategic areas for action:
Education, Skills & Behaviour Change - developing a labour force with the skills required to take maximum advantage of the energy production, demonstration and servicing opportunities. Ensuring that programmes and activities are in place to encourage behavioural change.
Policy, Consents & Infrastructure - planning and supporting the development of strategic and community level infrastructure to facilitate the Energy Island Programme and create lasting community benefits. Facilitating suitable policy development, taking advantage of opportunities and responding to challenges.
Inward Investment & Supply Chain - maximising the supply chain opportunities that can be captured locally.
Programme Office Management - (including Community engagement and consultation) - ensuring that people are at the heart of activity and understand the benefits of the Energy Island Programme.
