Council Services:

Food safety for businesses

Isle of Anglesey County Council is committed to ensuring that food and drink intended for human consumption, which is produced, stored, distributed, handled or consumed within the county is without risk to the health or safety of the consumer.

A small team of environmental health officers and technical officers - The Food Team - carries out this work.

Officers from this section carry out inspections and respond to complaints as required by legislation and various codes of practice.

Officers make decisions on how they will enforce legislation based on the contents of the Authority’s Enforcement Policy.

If you would like a copy of our Enforcement Policy, please make a request via email, telephone or alternatively write to us at Public Protection Department. See contact Trading Standards on the right hand side of this page for contact details.
