Food safety for businesses

Anglesey County Council is committed to ensuring that food and drink intended for human consumption, which is produced, stored, distributed, handled or consumed within the county is without risk to the health or safety of the consumer.

A small team of environmental health officers and technical officers - The Food Team - carries out this work.

  • National food hygiene rating

In October 2010, the Food Standards Agency, in partnership with local authorities, rolled out a national food hygiene rating scheme for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
