Free and confidential advice.
The two main organisations that provide a range of welfare and benefit advice on Anglesey are the J E O’Toole centre in Holyhead and the Anglesey Citizens Advice Bureau.
J E O’Toole centre
We provide a welfare rights service, giving practical help, advice, information and representation….completely free and confidential.
Various learning and leisure opportunities are also available and, as a drop-in centre, it acts as a social focus.
People can meet, chat, read the newspapers or have a hot drink.
The centre’s facilities are available to unemployed people; disabled; pensioners; part time workers; single parents; workers who are threatened with redundancy or unfair dismissal etc.
Activities and courses
Various courses and activities are provided at the centre, at different times according to the need, and subject to availability of tutors. The following information is therefore a guide, and it is recommended that you contact the office for further information.
All courses are free for the unemployed or unwaged regardless of their partners employment status. Eligibility will be determined on the registration day.

To find us, follow the A55 into Holyhead, head for the town centre and turn left at the clock, follow the one way system up the hill (avoiding the pedestrianised area). Take the second turning on the right directly in front of the Britannia Inn. Parking is available on both sides of the road. The centre is situated on the left hand side.
Anglesey Citizens Advice Bureau
The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) is dedicated to providing help and advice on a range of subjects everything from debt management to legal advice. The bureau is always in need of volunteers for all of their branches countrywide, so if you would like to become a volunteer please get in contact with us.
Please note that all Ynys Môn CABs are approved intermediaries for debt relief orders.

To contact any of the CAB centres please telephone 08444 77 20 20, 24 hours a day. An operator willbe available from 10am until 4pm, Monday to Friday (recorded information at any other times)This service is available in English, Welsh and for the hearing impaired.
