Day 11: ‘Mistletoe but NO Wine!’ – The risk of underage drinking!

Everybody enjoys indulging in a festive drink over the Christmas period, but unfortunately kids will be trying to get in on the act too!

Whether it is a sip of eggnog or a cheeky bottle of alcopop…it all adds up! Underage drinking can have a serious effect on the health of children not to mention the risk of anti-social behaviour. This Christmas let’s make sure that “Santa’s little helpers” behind the till are asking for ID!

How you can help:-

  1. Make sure that all retailers and pubs are enforcing their underage policy
  2. Keep a close eye on what your child is drinking over Christmas
  3. Share this post to friends and family to make them aware
  4. Please report any possible underage sales activities to Trading Standards on 01248 752840

Help Anglesey Trading Standards keep residents safe and happy this Christmas.
