Doorsmart Doorsafe - say no to doorstep crime

Doorstep crime involves traders knocking on doors asking consumers whether they would like building work, hedges trimmed, tarmac laid guttering replaced etc.

More often than not the consumer is persuaded to part with considerable amounts of money for very poor workmanship.

The trader invariably disappears without trace leaving the consumer with poor, shoddy, unfinished work, having paid hundreds if not thousands of pounds.

Anglesey Trading Standards are working closely with North Wales Police and local partnerships to reduce this type of crime, in order to make this initiative successful, we are running a rapid response unit which will enable us to respond to complaints quickly and efficiently.
